UPDATE-- RESPONSE TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION FRON INSPECTION REPORT 91-005-7 This. letter is to inform you of a change to one of the many corrective actions-4 for the violation identified in Inspection Report 91-005. The corrective action modified involved Engineering and Maintenance Departments performing detailed administrative procedure reviews with their-personnel.
The violation's significant area of concern involved the level.of procedural.
compliance with respect to administrative procedures within the facility. The detailed review proposed as a corrective action was evaluated and determined to be beyond the scope believed necessary for application:to the Engineering and Maintenance Departments. However, procedural compliance has been a
. problem to varying degrees and it was' deemed prudent to provide clear.
expectations. These expectations were provided by the department managers in special staff meetings which reviewed the problems associated with the '
1 violations and reconfirmed the need for strict procedural compliance.
