Dear fir. Hall:
This letter is in response to your letters of August 10, 1990 and August 23, 1990 dealing with issucc related to the con.pletion of the review of the new Standard Technical Specifications (STS).
Your August 20, 1990 letter listed a few more of the industry's "open items."
The staff's review of these items indicates that each comment is specific to a particular STS section. As was stated during the August 14, 1990 n;ecting
?>etween liRR and I;UMARC, issucs that are not generic to all sections of the five now Standard Technical Specifications and that do not impact the current review of all four Owners' Groups new Standard Technical Specifications will be har.dled as part of the review of the applicable section's Bases.
Furtherinore, tic resolutiori of the 78 olen items identified in your letter of August 3,1990 including the E7 items tact the !!RC staf f considers closed will be also handled as part of the review of the applicable section's Bases.
In your letter of August 23, 1990, you requested a meeting with the liRC staff on September 6-7, 1990 to discuss the Containment and Administrative Section of the new STS.
In etder for the I:RC staff to properly supaort such a meeting and have the appropriate levc1 of managericut availtble at tie taeeting we would like to request that you provide us with a listing of iteras for discussion.
Once the items are known, we will promptly advise you of our proposed epproach and ruanageinent level to be used for resolving these itenis.
