Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-29 Completion of Security Boundary Upgrade Project-GNRO-93/00160 Gentlemen:

Previous NRC Inspections and Regulatory Effectiveness Review (RER) results of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station security program identified several deficiencies in which camera coverage of the south _ perimeter was of concern.

As a result, Entergy Operations, Inc. developed plans to correct these concerns, whicn subsequently initiated the Security Boundary Upgrade Project.

This project focused on both short-term and long-term enhancements that would drastically improve overall camera coverage, in addition to improving.

working conditions in the central and secondary alarm stations (CAS/SAS).

GGNS has provided on an on-going basis, status reports detailing project milestones and completion dates.

As delineated in our January 21, 1993 letter to the staff (reference GNRO-93/00010), the final phase of work activities was scheduled to be completed by the end of 1993.

GGNS has recently accomplished all remaining activities required to declare the security boundary upgrade project i

This memorandum in effect serves as our notification of completion of this project.
