Dear Sir:
NRC Administrative Letter 93-03, " Operator Licensing National Examination Schedule," dated September 7,1993, requested licensees to voluntary tubmit, within thirty (30) days after receipt of the Administrative Letter, updated schedules for licensed operator examinations.
Philadelphia Electric Company (PECo) received Administrative Letter 93-03 on September 20, 1993.
Attachments 1 and 2 arr the PECo responses to Administrative Letter 93-03 for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS) and Limerick Generating Station (LGS) respectively.
Both attachments contain proposed schedules for operator licensing examinations, requalification examinations, and generic fundamental examination.
Please note that the scheduled requalification examination dates (i.e., Part B, " Proposed Requalification Examination Schedule," on NRC Form 536) for LGS reactor operators and senior reactor operators will be conducted in the October / November timeframe for the NRC Fiscal Years (FYs) 1994 through 1997. As indicated in the attachments, this schedule change does not affect the requalification examination dates for the limited (i.e., to fuel handling) senior reactor opcrators (LSR0s).

Gallo Page 2 This change of scheduled requalification examinations from a January / February to an October / November timeframe is required to eliminate licensed operator schedule and resource conflicts with LGS refueling outages which are also currently scheduled for the January / February timeframe. With both LGS Unit I and Unit 2 on a 24 month refueling cycle, this schedule change i
provides for a separation of the activities in the future.
The NRC approved the change of schedule request by letter dated May 11, 1993. We note this because the Natioral Examination Schedule (NES) received as attachment I to Administrative Letter 93-03, page 1 of 2, indicates a LGS examination schedule month in January.
During NRC FY 95 and NRC FY 97 a total of eight (8) candidates will take the dual site LSR0 initial license examination as indicated in attachments 1 and 2 on NRC Form 536 " Operator Licensing Examination Data." The schedule for the indicated exam week is as follows; the written exam and part of the operating exam will be given at PBAPS; the remainder of the week will be spent at LGS completing the operating exam.
