Dear Mr. Kincley:
This letter forwards NRC observotions of the INP0 evaluation process at Clinton Nucledr Power Plant. The observations were developed as part of= an NRC program to determine the need for a maintenance rule.
The enclosed document will be placeo in the NRC Public Document Room in accordance with the INP0/NRC memorandum of agreement dated October 20, 1988.
Addition 611y; Mr. C. Holden will be observing your evaluation process at the Hope Creek Nuclear Power. Plant on August 13 through 24, 1990.
Dr. Thomas Murley, Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, will be the NRC J
management representative observing the INPO process and will errive on Wednesday, August 22, 1990.

through 21, 1990. Mr. Stewart Ebneter, Regional Administrator, Region 11,.will be the NRC management representative at this evaluation.
Mr. Ebneter will-be commencing his observations on Wednesday, September 19, 1990. Trip reports, including cur observations of the INPO evaluation process at these facilities, will also be forwarded to you as each evaluation is completed.
