This refers to an Enforcement Conference conducted by Mr. H. J. Miller and

other members of the Region III staff on November 19, 1993, regarding
activities at the Duane Arnold Energy Center and to the discussion of our

findings with your staff. This Enforcement Conference was conducted as a
result of the findings of an inspection conducted from August 24 through
October 14, 1993, in which an apparent violation of NRC regulations was
!
identified.
Inspection report 50-331/93015(DRP), dated November 5, 1993,
documented the results of the inspection. The enclosed report summarizes the
conference.
You will be notified by separate correspondence of our decision regarding

enforcement action based on the information presented and discussed at.the
Enforcement Conference. No response is required until you are notified of the

proposed enforcement action.
