Maine Yankee Station Security Plan (Temporary Change)
Gentlemen:
This letter is intended to document for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission'(NRC) the status regarding office and supply trailers Maine Yankee brought on-site (within -
the protected area) during the 1992 Refueling Outage.
' Subsequent to the '92 Refueling, a financial analysis determined that it would.be cost. effective to naintain a certain number of these trailers on-site to provide additional office space through the 1993 Refueling Outage.
Currently, due to the ongoing construction within the Protected Area and the anticipated relocation of personnel to a new Corporate Office in 1994, twelve (12) of the office trailers identified in Maine Yankee letter MN-92-64 will remain in the Protected Area through December 31, 1994.
These trailers are temporary and are.
i expected to eventually be removed from the site.
Based on an overall evaluation of these trailer locations, ~it has been.
determined that the effectiveness of the Maine Yankee Security Program has not been -
decreared.
If, in the future, Maine Yankee decides to. make these trailer locations permanent, a 50.54(p) change to the Maine Yankee Security Plan will be submitted in-accordance with established regulations.
