Enclosed please find an Application for License to Export Nuclear Material and Equipment. The subject expon consists of nuclear fuel assemblies to be shipped to Taiwan. The NRC export regulations indicate that the entire shipment, except the nuclear material, qualifies for a General

license. The Application therefore covers the export of the nuclear fuel.

Please note Item 25 on the Application. We are obliged to make this early Application due to a requirement being imposed by the Ultimate Consignee.

Based on discussions with NRC personnel, a previous export of similar equipment and material has been approved for the IAngmen nuclear power plant.

I have been informed that only 1

foreign government assurance are required. A check for $3,300 for the required application fee l
