Revision 13 By application dated July ll,'1990, Scientific Ecology Group, Inc..(SEGI) requested that Certificate of Compliance No. 9151 be amended to change the leak test procedure -
for the Model No. LN 14-170 Series I shipping package.-The applicant also requested that the revised certificate be issued to SEGI. Revision 12 of the certificate was issued to Westinghouse Hittman Nuclear Incorporated SEGI's' predecessor..
1 The leak test procedures for the Model:Mo. LN 14-170 Series 1 shipping package is being revised. to list an additional leak _ test solution which can be used for the bubble leak test and to clarify requirements for recording the pressure range and serial number of the test gauge used for each leak test.
The leak test solution-being added to the procedures is one that is commonly.used to conduct soap bubble 1eak. tests and has been accepted by the NRC in previous applications.;
Minor-revisions are also being made to text of the procedures (in Section'8.3) and the i
to correct discrepa.ncies test report form (included as Figure l_ in the procedures)l number of the test gauge in requirements for recording the pressure range and seria used for leak testing. The revised leak test procedures, WM-Oll, Revision H, are being-included in Condition 7(b) of the certificate.
The changes in the leak test procedure do not affect the ability of the package to j
. meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.
