Walter P. Haass, 301/492-3219 BACKGROUND The Vendor Inspection Branch (VIB) of NRR is planning an inspection of Cooper Industries (the vendor).

The principal objective of the #nspection will be to review the vendor's program for the classification and dedication of spare and t

replacement parts for use by nuclear utilities'in safety-related applications and to ensure that the program is-being implemented by the vendor.

The vendor's-Part 21 program will also be reviewed.

OBJECTIVE The objective of this Task Order is to obtain technical expertise from.

Parameter, Inc. in nuclear power plant emergency diesel engine technology to assist an NRC inspection team performing the referenced inspection.

WORK REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide the services of one specialist in emergency diesel engine technology and vendor inspections to assist an NRC inspection team by
