SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) CHANGE 93-10,

" FIRE PROTECTION" In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing a requested amendment i

to Licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 to change the TSs of SQN Units 1 and 2.

The proposed change revises various fire protection specifications to (1) clarify operability requirements regarding fire suppression system i

flowpath, (2) delete special reporting requirements, and (3) incorporate additional guidance into a TS action requirement for spray and/or

]

sprinkler systems inside containment.

The proposed TS change is identified in Enclosure 1.

The justification for the proposed TS change is provided in Enclosure 2.

A proposed j

determination of no significant hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is provided in Enclosure 3.

i TVA views the current special reporting requirements as an undue burden on the facility. Therefore, TVA requests an expeditious review of the enclosed amendment request. TVA requests a 45-day implementation period for this TS change following issuance.
