Maine Yankee Operations Manager Qualifications -
Proposed Change No. 154 Revised Page 5.2-2 Gentlemen:
By Reference (b), Maine Yankee proposed to modify our Technical Specifications associated with the facility qualification requirements for the Operations Department Manager. This proposed change would modify the Technical Specifications such that the Manager, Operations must:
(1) hold a Senior Operator's license, termed Senior Reactor Operator (SRO), at Maine Yankee, or (2) have at one time held a SR0 license at Maine Yankee.
After submittal of Reference (b), it was determined that T%nnical Specification 5.2.2(h) does not accurately reflect our current practice with respect to the Shift Operating Supervisor's (SOS) license requirements.
To correct this situation, a revised page 5.2-2 is attached to replace that page sutmitted with Reference (b).
This revised page clearly indicates that the SOS must hold an SR0 license. Changes i
L to Reference (b) are-denoted by double brackets to the right of the specification.
L The Significant Hazards Evaluation of Reference (b) has not changed due to this revision.
