RELIEF REQUEST TO USE CERTAIN IWA-5250 REQUIREMENTS LISTED IN THE 1992 EDITION OF THE ASME CODE, ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT 2 (ANO-2)(TAC NO. M84385)
By letter dated August 21, 1992, Entergy Operations, Inc., requested approval to use Paragraph IWA-5250(a)(2) requirements listed in the 1992 Edition of the ASME Code for the AN0-2 Inservice Inspection Program, in lieu of the requirements in the 1986 Code. The NRC staff, with technical assistance from its contractor, the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, has reviewed and evaluated the information provided and concludes that the proposed alternative examination provides an acceptable level of quality and safety and is authorized pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(i). Our related Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
