i In a telephone conversation on December 1,1993, between Mr.- A. Burritt of this office and l
Mr. E. Harms of your training department, arrangements were made to evaluate the l
requalification program at the Vermont Yankee facility. The NRC will perform this j
l evaluation based on inspection activities in accordance with NRC Inspection Manual, j
Temporary Instruction TI-2515/117, rather than an NRC-administered requalification.

examination. The inspection will be performed. based on facility-administered examinations j
i that are scheduled to start the week of February'14,1994; In order to prepare for the inspection activities, you will need to furnish the following materials.
Training Department Instructions / Procedure dealing with the Licensed Operator Requalification Program.
Sample Plan / Test Outime Copies of exam materials to be administered during the inspection.-
l Mr. Harms has agreed to provide all materials by January 31,1994. Your staff should -
assure appropriate measures are taken to preclude examination compromise when submitting '
i these materials.
