Specify the method used for leak checking the package if the drain line is permanently closed and sealed.
2.
Provide bolt torque requirements.
3.
Show that the procedure-given in item no. 6.p, Chapter XVIII, Section K, is adequate to remove all water from the cask cavity.
4.
The leak check requirements for an empty package given in items no. 5.j, 7.1 and 8.s, Chapter XVIII, Section K, are not consistent with the cask cavity leak check requirement given in item no. 4.d, Chapter XVII,Section I.
Clarify this inconsistency.
5.
Revise the operating procedures to address the installation of a lock wire and seal as referenced in Section 3(a) of the Consolidated Safety Analysie Report.
MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES 1.
Chapter XVII, Section Z requires visual inspection of the cask lid bolts for damage resulting in greater than 0.025 inch reduction.
Show that a reduction of this magnitude is detectable by visual inspection.
