Dear Mr. Skovholt:
FDNTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket No. 50-263 License No. DPR-22 Hydraulic Shock Suppressors and Restraints An external inspection of hydraulic shock suppressors located inside primary containment was completed on June 7,1974, during a scheduled outage. Seven units were excluded from the inspection because of accessability problems and to limit personnel radiation exposures.
Included were thirty-one of the thirty-four units installed in conjunction with main steam safety / relief valve modifications during the Spring 1974 refueling outage. No oil loss or other indication of deterioration was found.
Based on the results of this inspection, and considering the satisfactory condition of the units during the recent refueling outage, there is good assurance that the seven excluded uaits are also in satisfactory condition.
