amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your submittal dated September 12, 1986, as supplemented on September 11, 1987, l
March 11,1968, July 22,1988, February 1,1989, April 25,1990, and May 17, 1990.
Theamendmentallowstheuseofextendedlifealuminidefuel(ELAF)inthe I
MURR.
Our approval of ELAF is not based on prior approval of I)rocurement specifica-l tions. However, please provide a copy of the final ELAr procurenent specif1-l cations when they are developed. Also, please provide us with the results of your as built confirming neasurements for the lead element produced which will verify the safety limits using the actual fabrication specifications.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation supporting Anendment No. 20 is enclosed.

UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI RESEARCH REACTOR The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendnent No. 20 to Facility License No.R-103fortheUniversityofMissouriResearchReactor(MURR) reactor. The anendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your submittal dated Septembit 12, 1986, as supplemented on September 11, 1987, March 11, 1988, July 22, 1988, February 1,1989, April 25,1990, and May 17, 1990.
The anehdnent allows the use of extended life aluminide fuel (ELAF) in the MURR.
Our approval of ELAF is not based on prior approval of arocurement specifica-ticns.
However, please provide a copy of the final ELA: procurement specifi-cations when they are developed. Also, please provide us with the results of your as built confirming nessurements for the lead element produced which will verify the safety linitts using the actual fabrication specifications.
