The attached revision to the Core Operating Limits Report for Prairie Island Unit 2 Cycle 16 is being provided in accordance with the requirements of

The limits specified in the attached i
Core Operating Limits Report have been established using NRC approved methodology.
The Unit 2 Core Operating Limits Report has been revised to incorporate the following changes f.or Cycle 16:
- 1. The Heat Flux Hot Channel Factor and Nuclear Enthalpy Rise Hot Channel i
Factor Limits have been revised.
- 2. The peak linear heat generation rates used in the ECCS analyses have been revised.

- 3. Figure 1 has been revised to incorporate a K(z) value of 1 for the full

core height.
- 4. The multiple V(z) curves have been replaced with a single figure containing bounding V(z) curves for four ranges of exposures.
- 5. Additional information related to the bases for the K(z) and V(z) penalties has been incorporated.
