ll This special report is submitted in accordance with Lasalle Units 1 and 2 operating Licenses MPF-11 and MPF-18 respectively, Appendix A, and Technical specification 3.7.6 and 6.6.c.

testing of panels 2H13-P634 and 2H13-P619 as directed by Lasalle Instrument procedure LIP-RR-609, Unit-2 Recirculation Master Power controller Refuel calibration, in support of the Lasalle Unit 2 third refuel outage testing.
Fire door 615, in Fire Hazard sone 4R2 (Unit 2) located on the 731 foot elevation of the Auxiliary Building, was inoperable for greater than seven (7) days and therefore exceeded the 7-day period allowed by Technical specification 3.7.6 prior to requiring a special Report. The 7-day limit was exceeded because of the duration of outage related activities in the area.
To assure that the level of fire protection did not decrease during the course of this event, LaSalle met the requirements of Action statement "a" of Technical specification 3.7.6 by verifying fire detection on at least one side of the affected fire door to be operable and establishing an hourly fire watch.
Fire door 615 was returned to operable status upon completion of the testing on panels 2H13-P634 and 2H13-P619 on June 8, 1990.
