This refers to your application dated April 30, 1990, requesting renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 9141 for the Model No. 900 package.
Since an application was submitted at least 30 days prior to expiration of the Certificate of Compliance, the Certificate of Compliance will not be deemed to have expired until the application has finally been determined.
In connection with our review, we need the information identified in the enclosure to this letter.
This information should be provided within 90 days from the date of this letter.
Additional information requested by this letter should be submitted in the form of revised pages.

In Item Sc of Section 7.1, make the correction of USD to USA, 2.
In Section 7.1, include an explanation of how Item 10 differs from item 6.

In Sketion 7.1 there maybe confusion over when the procedure applies to each individual package and when the procedure applies to the crate or outer package. Collect the special procedures for shipment in a crate or outer pack into one place such as after the procedures for shipping individual packages.

In Section 7.3, revise Item 1 to include specific tests or measurements which should be used to assure that the package is empt).
The tests or measurements must be able to detect unauthorized source assemblies and source assemblies where the connecting. cable (pigtail) has been removed or shortened.

When using the word " package" in Section 7.3, make it clear whether the procedures are for individual packages, crates and outer packages, or both (see also Comment 3 above).

In item 4a in Section 7.3, note that a shipment is not exempt from all of 49 CFR Part 175 when transported by aircraft.
