Dear Mr. Chabot:
In a letter dated November 8,1993, the Engelhard Corporation (Engelhard) responded to comments from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on the following documente 1)
Decontamination Plan for the Interior of the Plainville, Massachusetts Plant of Engelhard Corporation; and, 2)
Radiological Characterization Survey Program for the Plainville, Massachusetts Site of Engelham Corporation.
My staff finds that your responses to NRC comments are adequate.
As the next step in the process, Engelhard needs to submit Radiation Health and Safety Plans for all aspects of remediating the interior of the Plainville plant, and the radiological characterization of the site. After NRC approval of Radiation the Health and Safety Plans Engelhard may proceed with the proposed work.
