NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-416/93-14 This will acknowledge receipt of your response of November 8,1993, to our Notice of Violation issued on October 8, 1993, concerning activities conducted

at your Grand Gulf facility.
Your response to item No. 3 lacked specific details regarding corrective steps to be taken to preclude further violations.
NRC Inspection Report 50-416/
93-14 specifically requested that particular attention be given in your response to the identification of the root cause of the violation and corrective actions to prevent recurrence since this violation was "similar" to-a previous violation.
During a conversation of November 12, 1993, between Mr. Bernhard of my staff and Mr. Daughtery of your staff, Mr. Daughtery agreed that a revised response to Item No. 3 will be provided to this office by November 22, 1993.
If your understanding is different, please contact us promptly.
The response directed by this letter is not subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, Pub. L. No.96-511.
