Mr. D. G. Eisenhut Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Units 1 and 2 Nuclear Power Staff Working Hours (Generic Letter No. 82-12)
Gentlemen:
In accordance with your letter of June 15, 1982 subject,
" Nuclear Power Staff Working Hours, (Generic Letter No. 82-12),"
the following is submitted.
Alabama Power Company's letter of June 4,1982 in response to Generic Letter 82-10 addresses the issues raised in Generic Letter No. 82-12 and states that, " Generic Letter 82-02 criteria 1-3 are exempted during outages and criterion 4 does not preclude overtime extension to more than one person per shift."
In addition, Alabama Power Company's objective is to limit the schedule of the staff at Farley Nuclear Plant, especially those in safety related jobs, to eight (8) hour days, five (5) days a week, except during extended outages.
During extended outages, overtime for the Farley Nuclear Plant Staff is considered on a case basis.
The shift manning requirements as specified in NUREG-0737, Item I.A.1.3, have been met; therefore, no Technical Specification change is required.
If you have any questions, please advise.
Yours very truly, h
