Grand Gulf 2020-02 Draft Operating Test Comments NOTE: This summary is being provided in lieu of Form 301-7, Operating Test Review Worksheet, because the licensees operating test submittal was reviewed and overall deemed SATISFACTORY.

- Specify MOL on D1
- Event 7 - add 4 minutes after (Pg. 5)

- Event 1 - time 9 - delete bullets 2, 5, and 6
- Event 1 - add TS 6.7.3 to D1
- Event 3 - time 24 - for pressure, add panel number and indicator
- Event 3 - time 29 - add TRM 3.5.1
- Event 4 - change leak from 25% to 15%
- Specify MOL on D1
- Add initial TS references to D1 and turnover sheet
- Remove TS 3.3.5.3-1 from Event 3
- Event 4 - revise note on page 18 to say 3rd control rod (not 4th)
- Event 4 - time 32 - add CRs to be inserted
- Event 4 - time 31 - add and parameters after pumps JPM S1:
- Initiate AP at 40%
- Indicate step 1 already complete JPM S-2:
- No comments JPM S-3:
- Step 8 cue add after report, and direct to verify high drywell pressure response.
JPM S-4:
- No comments JPM S-5:
- No comments JPM S-6:
- No comments JPM S-7:
- No comments JPM C-1:
- Provide illustrations and mock-up for simulator administration JPM P-1:
- Specify difference between orange lights and orange targets JPM P-2:
- How is fire door kept open? (need to know post-exam)
JPM P-3:
- Step 7 - add EDG is shutting down
- Add 10 CFR reference to task standard JPM AS-2:
- Change validation time to 15 minutes
- Change summary to two critical steps
- Step 3 cue - if needed, specify air isolation valve inoperable JPM AS-3:
- Add answer key and as given handout
- Change summary to two critical steps
- Add task standard bullet to be IAW answer key
- Change validation time to 15 minutes JPM AS-4:
- Replace JPM with emergency dose entry JPM. As written, too close to an emergency plan evaluation JPM AS-5:
- Replace JPM. While it appears desirable on the surface to have the SROs classify the event on one of their simulator scenarios, varying performance by the applicants (i.e. a missed critical task) could result in different plant conditions at scenario termination, which could also result in differing emergency classifications between JPMs. Test EP classification as part of the written exam and make new AS-5 a protective action recommendation.
- Step 3 and 4 - change 05-1-02-III-3 to 05-1-02-III-6
- Step 4 - add actual values in standard for power and flow +/- 2%
- Modify task standard to be consistent with above Step 4 change
- Add feedwater temperature to cue (normal for plant conditions)
JPM AR-2:
- Add marked up attachment 1 in step 1 and specify per attachment 1 in step 1
- Step 2 - RCIC not running per narrow range requirements
- Step 3 - HPCS not injecting due to wide range requirements
- Revise to have three critical steps in summary JPM AR-3:
- Step 2 - add actual value in standard
- Task standard - add values to first two bullets; bullet 3 delete the individuals supervisor recommends, delete bullets 4 and 5 JPM AR-4:
- Change summary to 6 critical tasks
- Step 3 - change TTB to time to 200 degrees
- Task standard last bullet delete approximately and specify +/- 1 hour1.157407e-5 days
2.777778e-4 hours
1.653439e-6 weeks
3.805e-7 months
