Dear Mr. Berg:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. S. G. Du Pont,
E. R. Duncan, and R. B. Landsman of this office on September 11 through
November 19, 1993.
The inspection included a review of activities authorized
for your Braidwood facility.
At the conclusion of the inspection, the
findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the
enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of
activities in progress.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in vinktion
-
of NRC requirements. However, as described in the enclosed inspection report
(Paragraph 4), you identified this violation. Therefore, the violation will
not be subject to enforcement action because your efforts in identifying and
correcting the violation meet the criteria spr.:ified in Section VII.B.(2) of
the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions,"

(Enforcement Policy, 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C).
