In accordance with Technical Specification 4.12.E.1, the following steam generator tube plugging and sleeving information is provided for the l
information of the NRC staff.
Following the recent inservice inspection of the Unit 2 steam generators, twelve tubes were plugged for the first time.
The percentage of tubes plugged 1
is 2.54% on steam generator 21.
The percentage of tubes plugged is 4.81% on steam generator 22.
A summary is attached.
This information will be expanded upon in the Inservice Inspection Report for Unit 2 which will be submitted within 90 days of the end of the current refueling outage. Also Table 4.3-14 of the Prairie Island Updated Safety Analysis Report will be updated in the next revision.

Seven tubes were plugged; one tube had a single axial indication at the

rolled transition zone and six tubes had multiple axial indications.at the rolled transition zone.
A hydrostatic test at 800 psi on the secondary side vas done; one tdbe was found leaking, the leaking tube was also one of the six tubes with multiple axial indications at the rolled transition zone.
All tubes were plugged with Alloy 690 ABB/ Combustion Engineering

Five tubes were plugged; one tube had a single axial indication at the rolled transition zone, three tubes had multiple axial indications at the rolled transition zone, and one tube had a 40% through-wall indication at the first cold le6 tube support plate. A hydrostatic test at 800 psi on the secondary side was done; inspection of the tube sheet found no leaks.
All tubes were plugged with Alloy 690 ABB/ Combustion Engineering mechanical (rolled) tube plugs.
