DARRELL G EISENHUT, DIRECTOR DIVISION OF LICENSING U S NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON DC 20555 DOCKET N0. 50-312 LICENSE N0. DPR-54 PROPOSED AMENDMENT N0. 82 REV. 1 In accordance with 10CFR50.59, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District hereby proposes to amend its Operating License, DPR-54, for Rancho Seco Nuclear Generat-ing Station, Unit No.1, by submitting forty (40) copies of Proposed Amendment No. 82, Rev.1 and withdrawing the original submittal dated June 2,1982.
The initial portion of this proposal is identical to the original submittal.
It corrects three typographical errors in Tech"ical Specification Table 4.14-1 that were identified by the District's Quality Assurance Department during a recent audit of snubber surveillance at Rancho Seco. These errors were list number 13, which was listed as 95W 39709-4 but should have been 9SW 30709-4; list number 62, which was listed as 1SW 23625-3A but should have been 1SW 23626-3A; and list number 68, which was listed as ISW 21925-9A but should have been 1SW 29125-9A.
The other purpose of this proposal is to address the temporary use of mechanical snubbers on the steam generator external Auxiliary Feedwater header. A total of four mechanical snubbers will be used, two per steam generator, and appear in Table 4.14-1 as list numbers 139,140,141 and 142. These mechanical snubbers will be removed at the end of the current fuel cycle and be replaced with hydraulic snubbers.
The District considers this proposal to be a Class II amendment, as defined by Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Article 170.22.
Enclosed with this letter is a check for $1,200 as required by the schedule of fees for Class II amendments.
If you have any questions concerning this proposal, please contact Mr. R. Colombo of my Rancho Seco staff.
