We. concur with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and'NUMARC conclusion that 'the environmental issues associated with license renewal can be addressed on a generic basis.- The nuclear industry can provide as many as 20 to 30 years of historical monitoring data which can be assessed.
This operating data.can be:
extrapolated with reasonable' certainty-to predict the environmental impact'for as long as the plant operates to assure continued protection of public health and safety.
We thank you for the ' opportunity to comment on this advance notice of prooosed rulemaking.
