OF MEETING CONCERNING POSSIBLE IMPLEMENTATION OF IMPROVED STANDARD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS BY TU ELECTRIC FOR THE COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2

-i A meeting was held on October 6,1993, with TU Electric te discuss the i

potential implementation of the improved standard technic il necifications for the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station Units 1 and 2 (L'ST.:

TV Electric stated that an evaluation was being performed as to the relacive benefits of j

converting to the improved standard technical specifications in their entirety versus implementing only selected line item improvements.

The licensee stated' that full conversion may be the cost-beneficial alternative, and estimated that conversion costs would be of the magnitude of $1.25 million.

i TU Electric noted that if it elects to convert CPSES to the improved standard technical specifications, then the preparation time for the submittal is at least one year, and an additional two years until implementation dependent on CPSES outage scheduling.
