Article I - Statement of Work, paragraph "8" is hereby modified by renumbering

" Task 3" as " Task 4" and adii~ng a new " Task 3" as follows:

" Task 3.

The contractor shall identify system design chinges as appropriate to accommodate changes in thi system design specifications provided by the NRC, i

changes-in technical data on facility operations and performance, and chances in system philosophy.

In addition, the contractor shall provide cost infonnation necessary to assure that the proposed changes in system design will minimize net cost, including annual operating expenses.

The proposed changes in system design specifications may be suggested by the NRC Project Officer or the contractor and may arise from review of prior results.

However, any changes suggested by the contractor are subject to the approval of the NRC project Officer prior to implementation of work with respect to such changes.

(a)

The contractor shall address the first two (2) proposed changes on the attached list entitled Design C_hange Subtasks, within FY 1982 and include those study results in the report Feliuired by Task 4.

The contractor shall also address a maximum of seven (7) additforui proposed changes in FY 1983.

Items three (3) through seven (7) on the attached list are represcntative of t he types of chan.jes the cont ractor will be required to evaluate und are provided to the rontractor for cost proposal purpnses only.

The proposed changes shall be identified, in writing, by the Project Officer, and shall be reported on separately.

The fiRC will furnish specific changes to be evaluated at least three (3) conths before a report is du%"

Article 1 - Statenent of !!ork, parograph "C3" is hereby modified to read as follows:

"By July 30, 1982, the contractor shall provide to the P0 ten (10) copies nach of a complete draf t of an interim final report, and by August 30, 1983, a complete draf t final, report, fhe P0 will furnish comr.ents on each draf t to the contractcr within thirty (30) days after receipt of the draf t.

Based on these comments, the contractor shall revice the draf t and submit the report in ten (10) copies of the P0 and one (1) cot > of the unclassified portion to the Contracting Officcr.

The revised interim report shall be delivered to the I;RC by October 4,1982.

The revised final report shall be delivered by October 31, 1983.

The contractor shall also submit camera ready copy suitable for publication as a !!UREG report.

The reports shall be in the format specified in fiRC Ibnual Appendix 3202 for

" Formal Contractor Documents."

Article I - Statement of !!ork, paragraph "0" is hereby modified by adding a new subparagraph "d." to read as follows:

"d.

Two additional briefings on conclusions and recommendations of the study '

within FY 1982.

Periodic meetings (quarterly meetings anticipated) with the Project Officer during FY 1983."

Article H - Period of Performance, paragraph "A" is hereby modified to read as follows:

"A.

Performance under this contract shall cenaence on Segtenber 30, 1981 and shall continue until October 31, 1983, at which time all reports shall have been submitted and all work under the contract shall have been completed."

5.

Article 111 - Consideration and Payment (Incrementally funded CN F),

paragraph "A" is hereby modified to read as follows:

"1.

It is estimated that the total cost to the Government for full performance of this contract will be $323,952.00, of which the sum of $297,203.00 represents the estimate reimburseable costs, and of which 526,J~49.00 represents the fixed fee.

There shall be no adjustment in the amount of the controctor's fixc4 fee by reason of dif ferences between any estimate of cost for performance of the work under this contract and the actual cost performance of that work.

3.

The amount presently obligated by the Government with respect to this contract is $?54,765.00.

It is estimated that the amount currently allotted wilt ~c~oTMr-~peFformance under this contract thrcugh 9/30/82.
