Dear Chairman Carr:
The House Interior and Insular Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations is planning to conduct an oversight hearing regarding the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Massachusetts.
The focus of the hearing will be issues surrounding evacuation preparedness planning at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant.-
The Subcommittee is requesting your participation at this hearing.
The hearing will take place on Monday, October 22, 1990, at 9:00 a.m.
in Memorial
- Hall, 83 Court
- Street, Plymouth, Massachusetts.
We ask that you prepare a.
five-minute oral statement and be prepared to answer questions.
Seventy-five copies of your statement should be brought to the hearing and handed to the Subcommittee clerk, Emily Gray.
Tin addition to the members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I am requesting that Mr. James Taylor, the Executive Director of Operations, and Mr. William T.
- Russell, Regional Administrator, Region 1, participate in the hearing.
It is likely that there may be additional personnel from the NRC whom we' may request at a later date.
