L Gentlemen:
l Enclosed please find Revision 5 to the Calvert Cliffs Performance Improvement Plan Implementation Program (PIP IP), originally submitted by Reference (a) and most recently revised by Reference (b). This revision provides progress through the third quarter of 1990.
It is our intent to integrate the PIP IP with our Nuclear Program Plan in the near future to maintain continued performance improvement. Acknowledging this long term objective, a new Action Plan, 5.3.7, Drawing improvement Program,' is contained in this revision to initiate improvements in the control of plant drawings.
Appendices A, B, and C have also been updated to reflect the progress of existing
- Action Plans and Appendix D has been added for completed Action Plans.
Other changes in this revision include a description of our October 1,1990 reorganization (Section 3.1), adjustments to the scope of the remaining Effectiveness Verification assessments (Section 6.3) and changes to the milestones of a number of Action Plans to improve correlation with the actual computerized schedules.

Change bars have been placed in the margins of those pages which have been revised, with the exception of Appendices A, B and C, which are completely revised. Please refer to the attached instructions for incorporating this revision.
I We recently completed implementation Verification of Action Plar 3.2, Managing Organizational and Program Change, bringing to thirteen the total number of Action Plans which have been verified as fully implemented.
