LICENSEE'S MOTION FOR THREE DAY EXTENSION OF TIME TO RESPOND TO APPEAL BOARD QUESTIONS By Order dated July 14, 1982, the Appeal Board submitted to Licensee and the NRC Staff a number of questions relating to plant design and procedures to be answered in the form of affi-davits filed with the Appeal Board and affected parties by the close of business August 9, 1982.
Licensee requests a three day extension until the close of business August 12, 1982, for the filing of such answers.
The sole purpose in Licensee's request is to enable Licensee's individual counsel most familiar with the record on plant design and procedure issues, both in the hearing and on l
appeal, to review Licensee's answers prior to their filing and to assure that they take into account all material testimony in the hearing.
This individual is presently on a long-scheduled and long-overdue vacation and will return to the office on August 9, 1982.

, We are authorized by counsel for the NRC Staff and UCS to state that they have no objection to this request for exten-sion.
We have advised UCS counsel that Licensee will have no objection to a similar request for extension in reply dates (presently August 25, 1982) if UCS finds it necessary to request an extension in the reply date.
