This letter transmits the report for the announced inspection conducted by Ms. Leanne Kay
of this office on October 4-8,1993, at the Limerick site and at your corporate office in
Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania. Ms. Kay discussed the findings of this inspection with

members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection focused on matters important to public health and
safety and included closure of previous Electrical Distribution System Functional Inspection
j
(EDSFI) outstanding items for Units 1 and 2. The inspection included review of resolutions
'
and corrective actions pertaining to transformer load controls, undervoltage relay
measurements, fuse size validation, and pump backpressure requirements. The inspection
consisted of selected examinations of design records, calculations, and procedures, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.

.Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified. A previously identified
'
issue involving system design for independence between onsite and offsite power sources was
also reviewed during this inspection.
