~ Pursuant to 10 C.F.R.

S2. 74 0 (b), licensees object to Interrogatories numbers 1 through 11, dated June 21, 1982 pro-pounded by Parents Concerned About Indian Point on the grounds that they are irrelevant, beyond the scope of permissible discovery under 10 C.F.R. 52.740 and beyond the scope of Commission Question 6.

Question 6 addresses only the consequences of shutting down the Indian Point units, while Interrogatories 1 through 11 seek to elicit information relative to events which by their nature can take place only during continuing operation.

Respectfully submitted,
