Dear Mr. Matthews:
Your October 2,1990, submittal of swell and dispersivity data of the Wheeler Borrow materials used in the cover system for the Durango UNTRAP site have been reviewed and were found acceptable.
All open items in NRC's November 16, 1987 Technical Evaluation Report have therefore been resolved.
It is assumed that any additional items identified in our May 10, 1990, review of the Remedial Action Plan will be addressed to the degree possible in the preliminary final Remedial Action Plan (pfRAP) that is scheduled for submittal to the NRC on November 8, 1990.
A supplement to the Technical Evaluation Report will not be prepared until a final Remedial Action Plan is reviewed.
.On a related matter, we have received your submittal of Project Interface Document (PID)-Nos. 03-S-37 and 03-S-38 and agree with the Class II and Class III designations assigned to them.
Our concurrence in Revision 4A of the Remedial Action Inspection Plan (RAIP) closes out the open item in our August 17, 1990, letter regarding PID No. 03-S-36.
As we have no record of PID No. 03-S-35, please advise us if this PID is to be issued.
