Dear Mr. Tedford:
Thank you for your letter dated September 11, 1990, in response to our 1990 review of your Radiation Control Program for agreement materials. We bave evaluated your response and believe that your proposed changes, when implemented, will enable the program to continue to satisfy the " Guidelines for NRC Review of Agreement State Radiation Control Programs."
We are pleased to note that the bankruptcy notification rule which became effective July 10, 1990 makes Arizona fully compatible with the NRC. We are now making a finding that your program is both adequate and compatible.
Additionally, we are pleased with the other positive actions you have proposed thus far with regard to our comments.
Your efforts with the Radiation Control Program and the Agency are appreciated by the NRC staff.
