SUBJECT: INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-336/93-21 AND 50-423/93-22
This letter refers to the announced inspection conducted by Mr. S. Chaudhary of this office
on August 23 - 27,1993, at the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant, Units 2 and 3, at Waterford,

Connecticut. Mr. Chaudhary discussed the results of the inspection with Messrs. Resetar and
l
Sudigala of your staff on August 27,1993, at the conclucion of this inspection.
This inspection was directed toward areas important to public health and safety. Areas
examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I inspection report, which
l
is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
observation by the inspector.
This inspection has indicated that your surveillance and maintenance program for pipe
supports and snubbers is effective in assuring the safety functions of these items.
No reply to this letter is necessary and your cooperation with us in this matter is appreciated.
