LIMITED TO FUEL HANDLING (LSRO) AND PEACH BOTTOM
REACTOR OPERATOR EXAMINATIONS (COMBINED EXAMINATION
REPORTS 50-277 & 278/93-20 (OL) AND 50-352 & 353/93-21 (OL))
During the weeks of August 23 and 30,1993, the NRC conducted initial examinations at
both the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Stations and the Limerick Nuclear Generating Stations.
The examinations were conducted in accordance with NUREG-1021, " Operator Licensing
Examiner Standards," Revision 7. Examinations of applicants are important to safety.
The report indicates that all LSRO applicants and five of six of the RO applicants passed the
examination. Section 4.0 of the report identifies an unresolved item related to emergency
diesel generator technical specification operability during refueling.
On September 2 at the conclusion of the examination, the findings related to the examinations
were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.799 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and
the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
