Enclosed is an application (XB1286) from the U.S. Department of Energy for a
. license to export 500,000 curies of tritium, contained in sealed glass' tubes as individual. tubes or in multi-tube wands and panels, for recovery cf the tritium and reuse in the manufacture -of similar sealed light source products.
i The recovery process will be performed at Saunders Roe Developments, Ltd. in the United Kingdom and/or SRB Technologies (Canada), Inc'., in Canada.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed export meets all_ applicable.
