Dear Mr. Jensen:

This refers to Certificate of Compliance No. 9182 for the Model No. Husman Irradiator package. Since you did not request renewal prior to the expiration date, the Certificate of Compliance expired on July 31, 1993. Accordingly, use of this package under the General License of Subpart C of 10 CFR Part 71, or under the provisions of 49 CFR 5173.47), is terminated.

If you should desire to re-certify the Husman Irradiator package as a Type B(V) package, it will be necessary for you to submit a new application.

The application should be complete in itself and should include package drawings and all pertinent information which demonstrates that the package meets the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.

Preferably, the application should be in the format of Regulatory Guide 7.9.

The sections on operating j

procedures, acceptance tests, and maintenance programs should be reviewed to assure they are complete and current.
