,r Comments of Commissioner Remick on SECY-93-244 I approve the staff's proposed management plan for the medical use regulatory program as set forth in SECY-93-244.
I commend the staff for working toward the resolution of the apparent inconsistency between dose criteria in 10 CFR Part 20 and the patient release criteria in 10 CFR Part 35.
I encourage the staff to be alert to other potential inconsistencies between our new Part 20 dose limits and other regulatory requirements so that they can be resolved in a timely manner.
I also join the Chairman in his comment that the staff should attempt to keep Agreement States involved in the regulatory program processes as early as possible.
