In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 20.1008(a) this letter is to provide written notification that Detroit Edisor is adopting early implementation of 10 CFR 20.1001 - 20.2401 at Fermi 2, beginning October 1, 1993. i Detroit Edison has submitted a proposed Technical Specification change '
l (Reference 2) for implementation of revised 10 CFR 20. Pursuant to 10 CFR 20.1008(c), any existing Technical Specification, that is more restrictive than a requirement in 10 CFR 20.1001 - 20.2401, will J remain in effect until that proposed change is approved. l However, regarding the Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications l the existing level of ef fluent control will be retained as l implementing the ALARA requirements in 10 CFR 20.1101(b) until the l proposed Technical Specification change is approved.
