This refers to your application dated February 17, 1993, as supplemented July 30, 1993, requesting renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 9167 for the Model Nos. 3206B, 32278 and 3218 shipping packages.
In connection with our review of the July 30, 1993, supplement, we need the information identified in the enclosure to this letter.

Doeratina Procedures. Acceptance Tests and Maintenance Proaram 1.
Revise the application to show that in the test for removable surface 2
contamination, the allowable filter paper activity for a wipe of 100 cm is 0.0001 pCi for alpha activity (f"ee Sections 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3).
Note that the allowed contents include kn.
2.
The radiation dose units in Sections 7.1, 7.2, 8.1, and 8.2 should be millirem /hr instead of mR/hr. Note that a radiation survey with both gamma and neutron meters is specified in the procedures.
3.
Revise Section 8.1, Acceptance Tests, to clarify that the containers will be acceptance tested in accordance with the Amersham Corporation's Quality Assurance Program.
4.
Revise Section 8.1.5, Tests for Shielding Integrity, to specify that the radiation dose rate readings must be properly scaled to the maximum contents of the package.
