SUBJECT:
REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM INSPECTION In a telephone conversation on September 9,1993, Mr. M. Bray, Acting Supervisor, Operator Training, and Mr. P. Bissett, Sr. Operations Engineer, arranged to evaluate the requalification program at Haddam Neck. The NRC will evaluate the Haddam Neck's requalification program based on inspection activities in accordance with NRC Inspection 3
Manual Temporary Instruction TI-2515/117. The inspection will be performed based on facility administered examinations which are scheduled to start September 15,1993. The _
specific on-site inspection will be performed during the week of October 4,1993.

In order to prepare for the inspection activities, you will need to furnish a sample plan / test outline for the examinations to be administered, as well as copies of the examinations as they are developed. Mr. Bray agreed to provide the appropriate materials by September 20,1993. When submitting the examination materials, your staff should assure that ap mpriate security measures are taken.
