Dear Mr. MacDonald:
It is requested that our cuality assurance program approval be terminated and-i that arrangements be ma/
co transfer or cancel the' certificates of compli-l ance we hold for radioisotope thermoelectric generators (R'IG's), as follows:
The Navy has agreed to " hold" Certificate of Compliance 9030. They.have told us that their Quality Assurance Program Approval (# 0697) has been revised to allow them to hold certificates for RTG's that are no longer manufactured and that they currently hold a certificate for the URIPS 8 RTG. Their point of l
contact is Mr. William Morris (804-887-4692).
i The Air Force has agreed to hold Certificate of Compliance 4888 and 5862. We understand that their request for approval of a quality assurance program that would permit them to hold certificates for R1U's no longer manufactured is currently being reviewed by your office.
Their point of contact is Mr.
George McAllister (916-643--2357).
The other certificates of compliance we hold, 9205 and 9153, may be canceled.
