Pursuant to Section 50.90 of the regulations of the U.
S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("the Commission"), Omaha Public Power District, holder of Facility Operating License No. DPR-40, herewith requests that the Technical Specifications set forth in Appendix A to that License be amended to implement changes that move the Fire Protection Program requirements from the Technical Specifications into the Updated Safety Analysis-Report and implementing procedures in accordance with Generic Letters 86-10 and 88-12.
The proposed changes in Technical Specifications are provided in Attachment i
A to this Application. A Discussion, Justification and No Significant Hazards Consideration Analysis, which demonstrates that the proposed changes do not involve significant hazards considerations, is appended in Attachment B.
The proposed changes in specifications would not authorize any change in the types or any increase in the amounts of effluents that will be released, or a change i
in the authorized power level of the facility.
WHEREFORE, Applicant respectfully requests that the Table of Centerts pages ii, iv and vi; the Definitions section; Page 2-74; Page 3-79c; and Specifications 2.19, 3.2 (Table 3-5), 3.15, 5.2, 5.4.2, 5.5, 5.8, and 5.9 of Appendix A to Facility Operating License No. DPR-40 be amended in the form attached hereto as Attachment A.
