Mr. Mark R. Shaffer of this. office on August 20, 1993. The inspection
included a review of activities authorized by Certificate of Compliance

No. 9036. At the conclusion of the inspection,. the findings were discussed

with members of your staff. The enclosed NRC Inspection

Report 15-000017/93-01 documents this inspection.

The inspection was an examination of your activities as they relate to
radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations
regarding packaging and transportation of radiative material. .The inspection-
,
consisted of. selective examinations of procedures and representative records
'
relating to the Certificate of Compliance issued for'the Model C-1 package,
interviewsLof personnel, and observation of activities in progress.

. letter is required.

The inspector noted that Source Production & Equipment Co., Inc. (SPEC) . holds-
a state.of Louisiana Radioactive Material License for its activities involving
