SCHEDULE FOR THE OPERATIONAL SAFETY TEAM INSPECTION (OSTI) - NRC

INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-298/93-202 This announces our intent to conduct an OSTI at the Cooper Nuclear Station during tne pericas of November 1-5 and Novemoer 15-19. 1993.
The inscection will be conducted utilizing the gulaance in NRC Inspection Manual 93802,
" Operational Safety Team Inspection 0STI)."
The inscettion objectives are to verify that the plant is being operated safely ana,n conformance with reculatory recuirements and that the organizations that control and support Diant operations are functioning effectively.
The inspection will incluae sustainea control room observations, i
observation of maintenance and surveillance activities, technical suoport for l
operations, review of eauipment harcware, corrective actions implemented to l
resolve ceficiencies, and plant area tours.
l The ins;ection team will be led by Mr. J. D. Wilcox, Team Leader, Scecial Inspect 1:n Branch. Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR).

Nebraska Public Power District badged for unescorted site access, discuss the inspection scope with licensee personnel, conduct a tour of the facility, ana gather information for the inspection. An entrance meeting has oeen scheduled for Wednesday, October 13 at 9 a.m. (CDT) an your training conference room. A tentative exit meeting has been scheduled for November 22, 1993. at 9 a.m. (CST) in the training conference room.
We understand that Mr. Gene Mace nas been designated as your primary interface with the inspection team. Any aaditional accommodations and any document requests will be forwarded via telecearerence with Mr. Mace or identified during the pre-inspection visit.
