SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) CHANGE 93-12, "0NE-TIME EXTENSION OF 18-MONTH SURVEILIANCE REQUIREMENT (SR) INTERVALS -
UNIT 2" In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing a requested amendment to License DPR-79 to change the operating license of SQN Unit 2.
The proposed change will incorporate a temporary license condition that would extend certain TS 18-<nonth SR intervals to coincide with the Unit 2.
Cycle 6 refueling outage.
The proposed operating license change is identified 1in Enclosure 1.
The justification for the proposed change is provided in Enclosure 2.

l proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration performed l
pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is provided in Enclosure 3.
A listing of SRs to be extended is provided in Enclosure 4.
TVA requests NRC approval of this' operating license change request by January 1994 to support the extension of SRs that will exceed their
,j 25 percent allowable extension in accordance with TS 4.0.2 as of January 31, 1994.

TVA requests a 30-day implementation period for'this TS change following assuance.
