"0NE-TIME EXTENSION OF 18-MONTH SURVEILIANCE REQUIREMENT (SR) INTERVALS -

UNIT 2" -

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing a requested amendment to License DPR-79 to change the operating license of SQN Unit 2. The proposed change will incorporate a temporary license condition that would extend certain TS 18-<nonth SR intervals to coincide with the Unit 2.

Cycle 6 refueling outage.

The proposed operating license change is identified 1in Enclosure 1. The justification for the proposed change is provided in Enclosure 2. A l l proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration performed '

l pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is provided in Enclosure 3. A listing of SRs to ,

be extended is provided in Enclosure 4.

TVA requests NRC approval of this' operating license change request by  ;

, January 1994 to support the extension of SRs that will exceed their ,j 25 percent allowable extension in accordance with TS 4.0.2 as of January 31, 1994.  ;

l TVA requests a 30-day implementation period for'this TS change following ~2 assuance.  !
